Kitchen Porter / Pot Wash

The Kitchen Porter role is responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen and working within a close-knit team to achieve a 5 * dining experience for our guests.

The Kitchen Porter will be a pro-active team player who has a passion for food and kitchen cleanliness, who works well in a fast-paced, busy environment, and who communicates well in a team.

This is a role suitable for individuals who are willing to learn as well as build upon their current skillset.

Location Somerford Keynes, Cirencester
Reporting to Restaurant / Pub Manager
Salary £10.00 - £12.21
Hours Various hours over the weekend and mid week during the holiday high season

Key Accountabilities/Primary Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to presenting the kitchen to high standards so that staff can work in a safe and comfortable environment.
  • To carry out designated cleaning duties in line with the cleaning schedules within the food preparation area or as requested
  • Washing up manually and by machine
  • To assist with food preparations
  • To assist in ensuring that all storage areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.
  • Ensure that all food deliveries are checked, recorded and stored.
  • Record and check all temperatures of fridges and freezers.

  • Be passionate about delivering the highest quality customer service and ensuring guests have a memorable experience.
  • Be willing to assist colleagues and work collaboratively to ensure smooth service and a positive atmosphere.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and attention to detail in every aspect of the role.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, taking on new tasks or adjusting to changes in the environment with a positive attitude.
  • Be knowledgeable or will to learn all relevant health and safety standards, ensuring a safe environment for both staff and guests.
